Q

What glue do I use on my Soft Heads and Tuff Tails?

A
Here at the factory we use an industrial use only shoe adhesive. Unfortunately this is not available to the public. But there are some reasonable substitutes. Firstly all surfaces must be free of old adhesives, mold release, and other contamination. Cleaning with denatured alcohol is fine for light cleaning of new items. Previously glued items will require a more aggressive solvent such as acetone maybe used sparingly but do not allow it to touch painted surfaces. Hobby type cyano-acrylates, “super glue” will bond well but are not flexible. A product called Zap is available in many types; the thick kind is the easiest to work with. This works best for attaching skirts to hard heads. Alternately P.V.C. pipe cement will work for flexible application.
will require fixturing with some type of clamps or rubber bands.na Hawaii Fishing Report
